What's in My Coffee?

If you haven't tried blended coffee yet, my friend, you are missing out. The concoction is pure magic and, to me, makes my coffee taste like frothy chocolate. The best part is, it's SUPER good for you and because it has a rich quality, it could help you reduce your caffeine intake while tying to get pregnant or during your pregnancy.

I change up the blends every now and again... I mean, variety is the spice of life after all.

If you're like my husband, you don't consider a salad a real meal. But, this salad may have just changed his mind. This salad packs a huge punch when it comes to nourishing foods, but also fills you up like comfort food.

1 C Coffee - I use organic, fair trade beans and prefer a dark roast for deep, rich flavor. Also, did you know that dark roasts have less caffeine because the beans are roasted longer? Win-Win!
1 tsp Four Sigmatic® Superfood Blends Adaptogen Blend (What are adaptogens? Find out HERE.)
1 TBSP Coconut Oil (Why all the fat? Many vitamins, minerals and adaptogens are fat soluble, which mean they are best absorbed by the body when taken with fat. Make sure it's a healthy fat -- think Avocado, Virgin Coconut Oil, and Grass Fed Organic Butter.)
1.5 tsp MCT Oil or Bulletproof® Brain Octane Oil
Splash of nut milk, today I used Coconut/Almond mix

To Make:

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender (make sure your coffee is hot!) and blend for about 5 seconds. You should be left with a frothy, delicious, SO-GOOD-FOR-YOU cup of Joe.

Other days I mix:

1 C Coffee
1 tsp Grass Fed Butter or Ghee (ORGANIC Y'ALL)
1.5 tsp MCT Oil or Bulletproof® Brain Octane Oil
1 Scoop Collagen Peptides

Blend and enjoy your froth!
