The Benefits of Turmeric and Curcumin

Besides loving the golden hues of this amazing adaptogenic spice, I love the benefits it provides. Turmeric has a number of qualities that make it an excellent addition to your smoothies and daily meals. 

WHAT MAKES THIS GOOD FOR ME


  1. Anti Inflammatory Properties: Curcumin, the main active ingredient in turmeric, is a heavy hitter when it comes to joints, inflammation and widespread pain. When taken with a healthy fat, like avocado or coconut oil, the body absorbs this potent active ingredient providing the most benefit.
    Digestive Aid: On the other hand, when turmeric is taken with just water, it can aid in digestion. 
    Detoxifies the Body: Turmeric stimulates the lymphatic system which rids your body of waste more efficiently. This aids in proper liver function. A healthy liver makes a happy mama.
